As part of the AMRC, which includes over 150 UK health research charities, the Royal Free Charity now joins a network dedicated to advancing impactful health studies.
Milestone in charity's support for research community
Achieving full AMRC membership reassures our supporters that our funding goes towards impactful, peer-reviewed research that truly makes a difference.
Jon Spiers, chief executive of the Royal Free Charity
“We proudly support all stages of research from making breakthroughs in the lab through to testing new treatments and models of care. Our funding helps researchers working on many different conditions to help patients faster.
“This full membership reflects our commitment to upholding best practices in research and collaborating with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and UCL to bring real health benefits to our patients and local communities”.
Prof Derralynn Hughes, Royal Free London clinical director of research and development said: “I am delighted to learn of the full AMRC membership of the charity which will further enable our collaborative efforts to bring the very best research to our patients and staff.”
Prof Hans Stauss, director of UCL’s Institute of Immunity & Transplantation, said: “Over recent years, the charity has been instrumental in supporting innovative research that benefits our patients. The AMRC membership will strengthen its ability in bringing first class research to patients.”
