Our supporter promise

The Royal Free Charity exists to help our hospitals go further and faster than the NHS can do alone. But we can only do our work thanks to people like you.

Your support directly enhances patient experience, enables life-saving research, funds vital equipment and promotes staff wellbeing. We want you to know that your generosity is enormously appreciated. We are committed to ensuring that we hold ourselves to the highest standards and that your donations have the greatest possible impact.

Our promise to you

We will be open and transparent
 

We value every gift we receive and will always work hard to ensure your generous donations have the most significant impact. We publish our annual report and accounts on our website and are always happy to answer any questions about how donations are used.

We will respect your privacy
 

We will communicate with you in the ways you have agreed to, and where we have legitimate interest to do so. If you would like to update your communication preferences at any point, then please let us know on [email protected] or 020 7317 7772

We will always treat the information you provide us in line with our privacy policy. We will never sell or share data with other organisations for their own fundraising or marketing purposes.

When necessary, we may share data with our carefully selected, regulated and monitored external suppliers, for processing purposes. We will ensure their use of the data is in line with our own data protection policies and not kept or used by them for any other purposes.

We will uphold the highest ethical standards of fundraising
 

We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice. We are committed to ethical fundraising and everything we do is guided by our values of respect, partnership, dedication, innovation, and energy.

We are a small team, so sometimes engage external suppliers, such as mailing houses, to ensure we’re working efficiently and effectively. When we do this, we choose them carefully and ensure they meet all our compliance expectations and professional standards, including those related to sustainability, EDI and safeguarding.

We monitor, regulate and – if needed – train our external suppliers and will act quickly if they do not meet the high standards we expect.
