Free period products for North Mid staff
20 January 2025
Period product dispensers have been installed at North Middlesex University Hospital.
Staff at North Middlesex University Hospital (North Mid) now have access to free period products thanks to a project promoting period equity in the workplace.
“This initiative supports NHS staff by alleviating anxieties about accessing period products, enabling them to focus fully on delivering great patient care.”
– Jon Spiers, our chief executive
The project was:
- delivered by the Royal Free Charity and North Mid staff
- funded by NHS Charities Together
- spearheaded by North Mid’s women’s network, Unison union representative and members of the senior leadership team
It forms part of our broader support for RFL staff at North Mid, including fitness classes, massage therapy and an outdoor gym upgrade.
