Donation delivers for hospital staff

The food delivery company Deliveroo has given the RFC an amazing £100,000 to help us support the wellbeing of our hospitals’ staff.

The money was donated by Deliveroo customers following a campaign by the company called Supporting the NHS. In all, the company has facilitated donations of £500,000 to five NHS trusts.

“With a donation as generous as this we can do so much to help with the wellbeing of the staff at our hospitals at this very difficult time.” said Jon Spiers. “None of them has faced anything like this during their careers and the fact that this emergency has continued for so many months has inevitably taken its toll on them.

“We know how much the public, businesses and others want to help and we are delighted to be able to channel their generosity to those who need it most. We are extremely grateful to Deliveroo.”

The same campaign saw Deliveroo deliver more than 5,000 meals for hospital staff during the first wave of the pandemic.

The Royal Free Charity have also received generous donations from Barclays and NHS Charities Together. Read more here
