Fundraising gala dinner for pancreatic cancer care packages

The Royal Free Charity has joined forces with a leading business and trade membership group to arrange a gala fundraising event raising money to improve the experience of patients with pancreatic cancer.

The charity and UK Confederation – a non-profit association that promotes national and international trade relations – have organised the prestigious dinner and live auction to help the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust to provide a range of wellbeing treatments for patients.

Jon Spiers, chief executive of the charity, said: “We are deeply passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we can go beyond the limitations of NHS funding, from funding early-stage research into new treatments through to improving the experience of patients as they receive their treatment – and beyond, helping them to live well with cancer.”

The event, on Thursday 23 February, is taking place thanks to the generous sponsorship of:

  • Spring Studios
  • Speech-i Ltd
  • Mango Logistics Group
  • Del Vigna Accountancy Solutions
  • Vania Marinello

Money raised at the fundraising dinner will help to provide packages of care for patients with pancreatic cancer, including holistic treatments such as reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation, and massages.

The Fiorina Fund was created in legacy of Fiorina Elliott who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in September 2009. It supports essential work and research into pancreatic cancer at the Royal Free London. To find out more, visit Fiorina – Royal Free Charity.
