We’re helping to create a more accessible and inclusive hospital environment thanks to your generous donations and fundraising. This includes:
- new sighted guiding training course for volunteers to better assist those with visual impairments,
- a dedicated project at North Mid addressing communication barriers within its emergency department,
- an anti-racism drive empowering our NHS staff to actively combat racism and foster a more inclusive atmosphere,
- and a project specifically designed to improve access to cancer screenings for people with learning disabilities in Camden and Islington.
We’re also highlighting some of our supporters and their inspiring stories. These include a remarkable 70-year-old long-time supporter who bravely took on a skydive, overcoming a fear of heights to raise vital funds.
In another touching tribute, the family of a former patient who died is raising money for research focused on preventing graft rejection in transplant patients.
Finally, a generous supporter who tragically lost his daughters to an autoimmune disease affecting their kidneys has left a legacy gift in his will as a lasting memorial to his beloved daughters.
