Duty Manager – the Recreation Club

SALARY – salary £21,000 – £23,000 per annum – subject to skills and experience

40 hours a week over five days (on a rotational system including early mornings, late evenings and weekends).

Weekday’s rota pattern between 6.00am – 10.30pm.  Weekends 9.30am to 6.30pm.

Base – based at the Recreation Club by the Royal Free Hospital on Fleet Road

The Recreation Club was established over 40 years ago and provides a fitness/leisure club to hospital staff, local residents, local schools, kids and adult classes and local activity groups.

The club’s facilities are made up of a gym with state of the art gym equipment, sports hall, 2 studios and a swimming pool. We have a very friendly approachable atmosphere for our members and staff, where every day brings a new exciting experience to our jobs and club.

The duty manager will report to the club manager.

The purpose of the role

The role will require to manage the whole of the building (the club has 2 studio’s, swimming pool, sports hall and fitness room), dealing with prospect members / current members, front of house administration, health & safety, and driving personal training on shift, whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming club that has been operating for over 40yrs.
