Supporting patients
Patient support is about looking after a patient as a whole and not just treating their illness. Whether it is through the traditional patient support group or by providing complementary therapy massage to help with coping with a condition, we are here to help. We want all patients to feel that they have a ‘friend’ with them when they come to one of our hospitals. Our purple topped volunteers will greet you with a smile, help you find your way and visit you on the ward if you are admitted and alone and would like some company.

Helping Hands Fund
The Helping Hands Fund was set up in 2015 by Dr Lynne Riley for the benefit of the wonderful children who are treated for cancer at Barnet Hospital’s, Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit.
