Become a Charity Extra champion and help raise vital funds for our appeal
Our new appeal – Breaking Point – highlights the harrowing impact of the pandemic on exhausted NHS staff, people who are waiting for their treatment and those struggling with long Covid.
In mid-November, we are running an urgent appeal using the exciting new crowdfunding platform Charity Extra and we need your help to make all the difference.
Other charities have had huge success working with Charity Extra, including Noah’s Ark Hospice in Barnet, who raised an incredible £2m in one weekend, well over their £1.2m target. We are excited about the potential for similar success for our appeal and the difference it will make for our patients, hospital staff and those carrying out vital research.
With your help, there can finally be some good news.
Help us by becoming a Charity Extra champion
The Charity Extra appeal launches on Sunday 21 November and runs for just under a week. The role of a Charity Extra champion is to share information with your personal and professional networks over the course of the appeal. We hope that when they hear about the huge difference it will make to patients and staff of the Royal Free London, they will consider supporting the appeal. If you can encourage others to become champions too, we’d be hugely grateful.
There is no minimum fundraising target expected for each champion and we will provide full support with tailored materials, social media artwork and key messaging, all designed to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible.
The amount of time you will need to invest be a fantastic champion over the duration of the appeal is as little as one hour. And the beauty of the appeal is you can provide this vital support from your sofa!
To sign up to be a champion please complete the form below and we will reach out to thank you, give you more information and confirm the next steps. You won’t need to do anything other than tell your friends, family and networks that you’ve signed up, and we’ll be in touch a couple of weeks before the appeal launches with further guidance.
If you would like to get more information, email [email protected] or if you’d like to chat about our appeal please feel free to call our project lead: Jo McGuinness on 07399 487 240.
