Welfare Rights Adviser and Triage Officer

Salary £30,000 – £32,455 per annum – subject to skills and experience 

Hours of work 37.5 hours a week over five days. We will consider part-time applicants if two successful applicants agree to job share. Pro-rata hours (one day a week in person).

Base Hybrid working for the foreseeable future, with three days a week in person (RFC office: Pears Building or the Royal Free Hospital) and two days remote.

We are seeking an ambitious and talented welfare rights adviser and triage officer to join their support hub team.

The role

The welfare rights adviser & triage officer will report to the welfare rights supervisor.

In this role, you will triage all referrals we get into the support hub and take a small number on as casework.

You will be supporting people affected by long term health issues with financial challenges, supporting with benefit and housing advice, and referring on for further support where appropriate.

The support hub team is here to support people affected by long term health conditions (patients and carers); to help with the practicalities of living with a chronic condition, with the aim of improving wellbeing and quality of life. We are here to transform patient experience and NHS staff experience and change lives for the better.
